Once you have your data available in ODP, it can be shared to other International/National agencies or any individuals. ODP provides numerous ways to share or disseminate dataset to others. At a high level, it has been classified into two: (i) Manual Data Sharing (ii) Machine to machine data sharing.
The following section will describe in brief about possible option available within ODP.
Manual data sharing
Data that are uploaded to ODP can be shared manually in the following ways.
- If you would want users to download data by themselves, you can share the dataset link to them. User can visit the link to download data in the format that they would prefer (like excel, csv, oData). In order to allow other users to download data from ODP, you may need to do either one of the following
- Make dataset as public, so that any one can visit ODP to download data. Please be noted, only registered users of ODP can download data. You may allow users to register themselves with ODP to
- Share datasets to specific user(s) so that only designated users can sign-in to (Note: Please check Granting dataset access to other user(s) on how to share dataset to others)
- Alternatively, you may download data from ODP and send it to them by email, etc

Machine to machine data sharing
ODP supports 3 different types of machine to machine data sharing; SDMX, OData & JSON. You may ask other International or National agencies to consume data from ODP by using one of data format. IMF consumes data from ODP using SDMX format. Developers from other International/ National agencies can refer documentation published by Knoema product vendor.
